Blue cloth cover, gilt lettering and design, corners and edges are worn and frayed. Top edge gilt. Heavy foxing on title page and frontispiece, light foxing on some pages throughout, otherwise inside is bright and clean with many b&w illustrations. Previous owner's sticker on front endpage, reads "Used in tour around the world, 1881-1882." Previous owner was author and traveller Joseph Cook. A impressive and thorough copy.
