Howard L. Bingham's Black Panthers 1968 by: Bingham, Howard L. and Howard Crist (Ed.)
Hardcover. US, Ammo Books, 1st, 2009, Book: Very Good, Dust Jacket: None, Hardcover, illustrated boards, 207 pages. Mostly b&w images, some color. Photos taken by Bingham for a photo essay done for Life Magazine with writer Gilbert Moore. They were to document and tell the story of the Black Panthers. The very secretive Panthers and their Minister of Information, Eldridge Cleaver would only allow Life to do the story if Bingham was the photographer. Bingham and Moore followed the Panthers for months from Oakland to New York to Los Angeles only to have the story pulled due to a disagreement between Moore and the magazine. Issed without a dust jacket. Clean, bright copy with a light scratch to cover, barely visible.
