Frontis with tissue guard plus b&w plates by Jessie McDermot. Susan Chauncey Woolsey was an American children's author who wrote under the pen name Susan Coolidge. Beginning in 1872, she wrote five children's novels about Katy and the fictional Carr family, with the family modeled after her own relations, and Katy based on the author herself. Red cloth with some discoloration, light soil. Overall, a tight, clean copy, good plus.
