A nice copy of the 2nd edited version of Billy Budd, a Melville tale unfinished at the time of his death and left in a rough, unassembled condition. Its first publication was considered rushed and this 2nd version was much more painstakingly edited, and bears much editorial discussion and includes the first publication of the short story on which the novel was based. Book is very good, clean. The dj not so much.
