For nearly thirty years thereafter she portrayed the island's historic architecture, picturesque landscape, and quaint customs in illustrations for calendars, magazines, and books for children. She was the younger sister of architect Frank Lloyd Wright and the mother of Elizabeth Enright, children's book writer and illustrator.
