Story and illustrations are by Holling Clancy Holling, who wrote and illustrated many wonderful Indian books such as "Claws of the Thunderbird", "Paddle-to-the-Sea", "Tree in the Trail" and others. The Hollings lived among Native Americans for a time, and their books have been praised for their authenticity. Boards lightly worn/soiled, mild thumbing, wrinkling to pages. Colors bright.
