Hardcover. London, Blackie and Son, Ltd., 1st, 1921, Book: Good, Dust Jacket: None, Nonpaginated (about 24 pages). Hardcover. Undated, assumed it's a 1st edition. Fun, engaging, color illustrations with text below throughout. Stitch binding with a few stitches missing, but still intact with no pages missing. The gray paper-covered boards are bound at the spine in gray cloth, and the front board has a full coloured pictorial panel pasted to it, with a scene of the Ark on a white background, with red and black lettering. Red cloth spine. Back cover's illustration has been romoved from board. Back cover board has been previously torn off and repaired with tape. Previous owner stamp on preliminary page with a crayon decoration. Some stray makes made with pencil on back cover board. Pages clean inside. In good condition for its age.

Rear cover of dust jacket shows some bubbles/de-lamination. Otherwise like new. Retrospective of Brunhoff's paintings (watercolors) that show the detail, the richness and the finnesse of the original's.

Clean, bright copy with similar dust jacket. 243 plates, mainly in color, charts. Contains many little-known works of art from the First Fleet landing in New South Wales in 1788, and from the early years of settlement. Chronology, Bibliography. Size: 13 3/4" x 10".

Hardcover. New York, M. T. Richardson, 1st, 1887, Book: Good, Dust Jacket: None, Boards covered in brown cloth with black design on front cover. Tear near the gutter on the first few pages including the frontispiece but it does not effect the image depicted. Still has previous owner's inscription from 1888. Some staining on pages but otherwise, a tight, clean copy. This book covers detailed illustrations of various methods of shoeing with special directions "for shaping shoes to cure different diseases of the foot".

Endpapers drawing in 2-colors, b&w illustrations by Kurt Wiese. American First edition as stated on copyright page. The classic adventures of a young deer growing up and learning about life in the forest until he becomes as his father was, a magnificent stag. John Galsworthy was an advance reviewer, reading the galley proofs in March 1928 and he described it thusly: "Clear and illuminating, and in places very moving, it is a little masterpiece."

Illustrated with a frontispiece, vignettes and 8 plates by Seton. The work follows the story of a gray squirrel that was raised by a farm cat but is forced to learn how to survive in the woods after his home catches on fire. The work was later adapted into a children's Japanese anime series in 1979. Corners with light bumps, no marking.

Bohatta was a Austrian writer/artist whose titles were republished in the U.S. in small printings. Charming color illustrations. Clean copy.

Dust jacket has some wear to edges and spine, with very slight foxing in one corner. Endpages are green paper with illustrations. Includes a notes section, explaining the importance of the ancient Latin poem "Batrachomuomachia," which, when translated into English, also reads "The Battle of the Frogs and Mice," and was a parody on "The Iliad," estimated to be written nearly 300 years after Homer's lifetime. An interesting combination of an ancient text and a children's tale. Inside is nice and bright, clean, and contains many beautiful b&w illustrations drawn by Fred Gwynne throughout.
