Softcover. Amon Carter Museum, reprint, 1995, Book: Very Good, Dust Jacket: None, Softcover, 256 pages. Struss (1886-1981) was that rara avis who mastered both still photography and cinematography. Best known for his stunning camera work on F.W. Murnau's Sunrise--for which he shared the first Academy Award for cinematography in 1927--Struss was a member of Photo-Secession, an organization co-founded by Alfred Stieglitz devoted to the promotion of photography as a fine art. While Koszarski discusses Struss' contributions to the cinema, the focus of this retrospective is the artist's earlier New York pictorial work; the book is handsomely illustrated with black and white images from Struss' oeuvre, as well as his striking 1910-17 experiments in color.

Title page is dated December 8, 1975. Bradbound unprinted red wrappers. Now bound in a binder with black boards. Nickelodeon was directed by Bogdanovich, and starred Ryan O'Neal, Burt Reynolds and Tatum O'Neal. According to Bogdanovich, the film was based on true stories told to him by silent movie directors Allan Dwan and Raoul Walsh. It was entered into the 27th Berlin International Film Festival. Although Richter name appears as co-writer, his original script called Stardust Memories was junked by Bogdanovich and completely rewritten by him.

This draft doesn't mention Patricia Resnick who was given credit as co-screenwriter, Higgins directed. Title lettered on bottom edge, otherwise clean, bright copy.

Autobiographyy of her life and career by the provocative French star famous for such roles as 'Casque d'Or,' Les Diabliques,' "Room at the Top' (for which she won the Academy Award as Best Actress), 'Madame Rosa,' and many others. Signoret was also nominated for the Oscar for her role in 'Ship of Fools.' She was married to Yves Montand until her death in 1985 and for many years they were the reigning couple in French cinema, both also involved in social and political issues. 403 pages, clean copy.

This book considers the film stills of Ernst Haas (1921-86), one of the most accomplished photographers of the 20th century, transgressing the borders between still photography and the moving image.
