Newport Beach CA, The Newporter Resort, 1986, Book: Very Good, Dust Jacket: None, In 1986, the illustrator James McMullan traveled to Southern California on an assignment for an advertising campaign. There he began work on a series of paintings for the Newporter Resort in Orange County. While the project didn't allow him the creative freedom he normally had, McMullan still managed to bring his artistic flair to the images. Unfortunately most of the paintings were never used.
